## Summary
Attach an existing customer profile during service so the active order, checkout flow, table, or delivery order is connected to the right customer.

## Before you begin
- Confirm the customer profile already exists
- Create a profile from the service flow only when your role has permission
- Attach the customer before payment, not after payment
- Review the selected profile before finalizing the order

### How profile linking works
Profile linking is available in Restaurant App and Manager. A customer can be attached to an active order, checkout, table, or delivery order before payment.

Before finalization, staff can remove the attached customer if needed. After payment, the customer cannot be attached or changed through this flow.

Attaching a profile can affect loyalty, coupons, gift cards, invoices, reports, and customer history.

## Steps
1. Open the active order, checkout flow, table, or delivery order.
2. Use the customer action to search for a profile.
3. Review the visible profile details: name, phone, email, last order, total spend, and tags.
4. Select the correct customer.
5. Confirm Selio shows "Customer attached successfully."
6. Continue service or checkout with the customer attached.

## Troubleshooting
- **The customer cannot be attached:** Selio shows "Customer not found"; search again or confirm the profile exists.
- **A profile needs to be created:** Create the customer from the service flow only if your account has permission.
- **The attached customer must be removed:** Remove the customer before finalization.
- **Payment is already complete:** Customer linking cannot be changed after payment.
- **Offline service is active:** Customer profiles are not available offline during service.
