Sell the gift card as stored value and confirm the card exists before you send the guest away.

Before you begin

  • Confirm gift-card sales are enabled for the location
  • Agree with the guest on the intended stored value before payment
  • Make sure the payment path is ready before you start the sale

Steps

  1. Open the gift-card sale flow in Selio.
  2. Start a new gift-card sale.
  3. Enter or select the stored value to be sold.
  4. Review the sale before payment is taken.
  5. Complete the payment for the gift card.
  6. Confirm the card is now available for later use before the guest leaves.

Troubleshooting

  • The gift-card sale option is missing: Confirm gift-card sales are enabled and visible to this user.
  • The wrong value was entered: Correct it before final confirmation whenever the flow still allows it.
  • Payment finished but the card is not visible: Recheck the sale result before retrying or promising the guest anything.
  • The guest asks whether the card is ready immediately: Verify the card state in Selio before answering.
