Troubleshoot Customer Profiles

Summary

Troubleshoot customer profile issues quickly so your team can keep customer records accurate and usable during service and follow-up workflows.

Before you begin

  • Identify the exact profile issue first
  • Confirm which customer record is affected
  • Check whether the problem is search-related, data-related, or service-related
  • Make sure you have permission to review and update customer records

Steps

  1. Open Customer Directory.
  2. Find the affected customer profile, if it is visible.
  3. Confirm whether the issue is with search, duplicate records, incorrect details, missing notes, or profile usage in service.
  4. Review the customer profile carefully before making changes.
  5. Correct the visible issue if your role allows it.
  6. Recheck the profile after the update.
  7. Escalate internally or to Selio Support if the problem continues after profile review and correction.

Troubleshooting

  • The customer cannot be found: Confirm the profile exists and check the search details being used.
  • Duplicate customer records exist: Review internal cleanup rules and make sure the team searches before creating a new profile.
  • Customer details are wrong or incomplete: Update the profile and confirm the save completed successfully.
  • Customer notes are inconsistent: Standardize what the team should store in notes.
  • The wrong customer is being used in service: Tighten search discipline and identity verification before linking profiles to orders.
