Use customer profiles during service so your team can connect the right customer to the right order and keep the guest experience more consistent.

Before you begin

  • Make sure the customer profile already exists, or create it if needed
  • Confirm the team knows when a customer should be linked to an order
  • Make sure customer data is used consistently and appropriately during service
  • Open the correct order or service flow before attaching the profile

Steps

  1. Open the order or service flow in Selio.
  2. Use the customer action to search for the customer profile.
  3. Review the result carefully before selecting it.
  4. Attach the correct customer profile to the order.
  5. Confirm the customer is now linked to the active order.
  6. Continue with service, checkout, or the next operational step.
  7. Review the order one final time to make sure the correct profile was used.

Troubleshooting

  • The customer cannot be found during service: Recheck the profile in Customer Directory and confirm it exists.
  • The wrong profile was attached: Remove or correct it before finalizing the order, if the workflow allows it.
  • Staff is unsure when to use customer profiles: Define a clear business rule for when profile linking is required or recommended.
  • Service slows down because profile search takes too long: Keep customer records clean and searchable.
