Before you begin
- Open the correct customer profile in Customer Directory
- Use notes only for internal operational context
- Keep the note concise and plain text
- Confirm the note is appropriate for the customer record
How notes work
Customer notes are internal only. Notes are plain text, timestamped, and attributed to the staff member who added them.
After a note is saved, it appears in the customer notes list. Notes are not searchable and are not available during checkout or service. Existing notes cannot be edited or deleted from this flow.
Steps
- Open the customer details screen.
- Go to the customer notes area.
- Add the internal note.
- Save the note.
- Confirm the note appears in the customer notes list.
Troubleshooting
- The note does not appear after saving: Reopen or refresh the customer profile and check the notes list again.
- A note contains the wrong wording: Add a new corrective note, because saved notes are not edited in this flow.
- The team cannot find notes during checkout: Notes are not available during checkout or service.
- A save failure is suspected: Selio does not show a separate save-failure error for this notes flow.
