Before you begin

  • Search first so you do not create a duplicate profile
  • Collect only the customer details your process really uses
  • Know the minimum information your team expects before saving

Steps

  1. Open the create-customer flow from Customer Directory.
  2. Enter the core customer details carefully.
  3. Review spelling and matching details before saving.
  4. Save the new profile.
  5. Reopen it and confirm the record can be found through normal search.
  6. Continue with notes or service usage only after the base profile is correct.

Troubleshooting

  • A duplicate profile was created: Search again and clean up your team process before creating more records.
  • The profile is missing important details: Reopen it and complete the fields your team actually relies on.
  • The new profile does not appear in search: Refresh the list and recheck the search terms.
  • The wrong customer was entered: Correct the record immediately before it is used in service.
