Check supported partners and activation requirements before using Tap to Pay, so the restaurant starts with the right Android device, the right partner setup, and the right operational expectations.
Before you begin
Make sure the location wants to use Tap to Pay on Android
Confirm the business understands that a setup with SoftPOS Banca Transilvania, CEC Bank, or ING Bank is required before live use
Review the operational readiness of the location without making settlement, fee, banking, or legal claims
Steps
Confirm the business wants to accept contactless electronic payments on Android devices.
Check whether SoftPOS Banca Transilvania, CEC Bank, or ING Bank is the active partner for the location.
Confirm the location has completed the required activation with the chosen partner.
Make sure the correct SoftPOS app is available on the Android device.
Confirm the Android device has NFC support and runs Android 12 or above.
Test the payment flow before using it during service.
Train the staff on which partner flow the location is using.
Troubleshooting
The restaurant tries to use Tap to Pay without partner activation: Tap to Pay should not be treated as a standalone Selio-only payment feature.
Staff does not know which partner is active at the location: Confirm this before go-live and document it internally.
The device has Selio but not the required payment setup: Install and validate the correct partner SoftPOS environment first.
Managers ask about settlement, fees, banking, or legal terms: Do not answer from this article; use the partner or an approved internal payment source.
