Summary
Mark orders as ready in Selio KDS so the next team knows the dish can be served, picked up, or dispatched.
Before you begin
- Make sure the order is fully prepared
- Confirm all required items in that order or course are complete
- Align the team on who is responsible for the final READY action
- Use READY only when the dish is truly ready for the next step
Steps
- Open the active order or course on the KDS screen.
- Review the items one final time.
- Confirm prep and plating are complete.
- Tap the READY action.
- Check that the state updates correctly on screen.
- Confirm the front-of-house, pass, or pickup process can continue.
- Clear or hand off the order according to your restaurant workflow.
Troubleshooting
- READY was tapped too early: Review the kitchen handoff process and correct the order state if your workflow allows it.
- The order remains on screen after READY: Confirm the screen refreshes correctly and review station behavior.
- The next team does not react to READY: Align service and kitchen teams on the meaning of the final state.
- Only part of the order is complete: Use READY only when the correct scope of work is finished.
