Steps

  1. Open the gift card lookup or management flow in Selio.
  2. Search for, enter, or scan the gift card details.
  3. Open the correct gift card record.
  4. Review the visible balance information.
  5. Confirm the balance before continuing with redemption or guest communication.
  6. Return to the order or profile flow if needed.
  7. Recheck the balance later if the card is used again during the same service context.

Troubleshooting

  • The card cannot be found for balance check: Recheck the card details and confirm the right card is being used.
  • The balance seems lower than expected: Review recent activity before assuming there is an error.
  • Staff gives the guest an estimate instead of verifying: Always use the balance view before answering.
  • The team confuses balance check with redemption: Balance check only verifies value; it does not apply it to the order.
