Before you begin

  • Make sure gift cards are enabled for the business
  • Confirm the user has access to gift card actions
  • Check whether the gift card already exists and is active
  • Make sure the device is connected and ready for lookup or redemption actions

Steps

  1. Open the relevant order or payment flow.
  2. Open the gift card action in the app.
  3. Search for, enter, or scan the gift card information if needed.
  4. Review the gift card details shown on screen.
  5. Continue with the intended action, such as checking details, applying value, or reviewing status.
  6. Confirm the change or usage.
  7. Review the updated order or gift card state before completing the next step.

Troubleshooting

  • Gift card cannot be found: Check the card details and confirm it exists in the business system.
  • Gift card is unavailable: It may be inactive, expired, or not supported for the current action.
  • Amount does not match expectations: Review the gift card status and previous usage.
  • User cannot access gift card actions: Permission rules may apply.
