Item-Level Actions

Summary

Use item-level actions to update one line in an order without changing the rest of the check, so corrections stay fast and controlled during service.

Before you begin

  • Open an active order that includes at least one editable item
  • Confirm the user has access to item editing actions
  • Check whether the item can still be changed based on the order status
  • Review the restaurant’s internal rules for item corrections

Steps

  1. Open the order you want to update.
  2. Select the item line that needs to be changed.
  3. Open the item-level actions for that line.
  4. Choose the required action, such as editing or adjusting the item details.
  5. Confirm the update.
  6. Save the change.
  7. Review the order to make sure the item now appears correctly.

Troubleshooting

  • Item cannot be edited: The item may already be locked by the current order state.
  • Item-level actions are missing: Permission or workflow restrictions may apply.
  • The wrong item was changed: Review the order carefully and correct it before payment or finalization.
  • Kitchen already received the previous version: Follow the restaurant’s correction process before continuing.
  • Item price or details changed unexpectedly: Recheck the selected action before saving.
