Before you begin

  • Make sure the printer hardware is powered on and connected
  • Confirm the device is online
  • Have menu data available
  • Know how your kitchen or prep workflow should be split across stations

Steps

  1. Open the printer and prep station settings in Selio Restaurant App or the relevant setup area.
  2. Add or connect the printer you want to use.
  3. Name the printer clearly based on its role or station.
  4. Create or review prep stations such as kitchen, bar, dessert, or pickup.
  5. Assign printer output to the correct prep station.
  6. Map relevant menu items or item groups to the right prep station.
  7. Save the setup.
  8. Run a test print and place a sample order to confirm routing works correctly.

Troubleshooting

  • Printer does not appear: Check power, network, cable, or pairing status.
  • Nothing prints: Confirm the printer is assigned and the order type supports printing.
  • Wrong station gets the ticket: Review prep station mapping for items and categories.
  • Duplicate tickets print: Check for overlapping printer assignments.
  • Kitchen misses some items: Make sure every relevant item has a valid prep route.
