Before you begin

  • Make sure gift card sales are enabled for the business
  • Confirm the correct gift card product or flow is available in the app
  • Check that the user has permission to sell gift cards
  • Make sure the payment flow is ready before completing the sale

Steps

  1. Open Selio Restaurant App.
  2. Start a new sale or open the gift card selling flow.
  3. Select the gift card product or issue a new gift card.
  4. Enter or confirm the gift card amount.
  5. Review the order total.
  6. Complete the payment.
  7. Confirm the new gift card is created and ready for guest use.

Troubleshooting

  • Gift card sale option is missing: Check whether gift card sales are enabled for the location.
  • Amount cannot be entered or changed: Review how gift card values are configured.
  • Payment completes but the card is not issued: Recheck the transaction and gift card creation status before retrying.
  • Staff selected the wrong amount: Correct the sale before final confirmation, if allowed.
  • Guest needs proof of purchase: Confirm the receipt or transaction details show the gift card sale clearly.
