Order via Floor Plan

Summary

Use the floor plan to open a table, take orders, and manage table service more clearly during live restaurant operations.

Before you begin

  • Make sure the floor plan is already configured for the location
  • Confirm tables are visible and active in the app
  • Check that the correct menu is loaded
  • Make sure the user has access to floor plan and table actions

Steps

  1. Open Selio Restaurant App.
  2. Go to the floor plan view.
  3. Select the table you want to open or manage.
  4. Start a new order on that table, or open the existing order if one is already active.
  5. Add items from the menu.
  6. Use item options, modifiers, or notes where needed.
  7. Save the order and continue with the next action, such as send, hold, transfer, split, or payment.

Troubleshooting

  • A table is missing: Check whether the floor plan for the location is configured correctly.
  • The wrong table status appears: Refresh the view or confirm another staff member did not update it.
  • Cannot open a table: The table may already be in use or the user may not have permission.
  • Items do not appear correctly: Confirm the correct menu is active.
  • Table order opens with old data: Review whether there is an existing open check on that table.
